We were watching the news tonight and they had a teaser for piece on the TvGuardian. I’ve seen this product in the store and I was wondering if it worked at all. It claims to block out “95% to 100% of foul language from TV shows”. I was interested to see how it actually worked in a day to day type situation. Initially everything was going great, they had a blurb about the product, they showed the family that was going to be using it. They even showed the dad trying to set it all up and select a movie. And then…

tv guardianAnd then nothing. They went to commercial, and after that nothing….Some stories about a man who got attacked by a mountain lion, blah blah, Raining this week, blah blah. Not a single thing about the TVGuardian. Where’s the story?!?! Why did they abandon me? Will I never get the answers I need? Finally, 30 minutes later, they finished up the story. I say finished up, but I use that term loosely. They plugged it all in. Showed two examples of how it worked and then said. “Yep, it works”.

Why do news shows feel they need to pull us along through each second of the show? If you don’t have enough news to fill your hour slot, you should cut at 30 minutes and then show cartoons. I guess that I’m a living example that the process works on poor suckers, but that won’t stop me from complaining about it. On this blog, that no one reads, late at night. Maybe just getting out will cleanse all the pent up Fox 13 News RAGE!!
