Mission Photos
I sent all my pictures to Walmart to get added to a cd. It’s a pretty nice service, they scan the negatives and put them all on a CD, with the label showing the pictures that are on that cd!
Now I have an online mission photo album. Right now it’s only public to friends and family. But if you want to get on that list (and I know that you do!) just comment here or drop me an email.
Flickr addict
I’m really starting to get attached to the Flickr website for the sharing of photos. It is really much more useful as more of your friends and family start to use it. When you initially login you are able to see all the new pictures from your friends and family. I only wish there was a desktop application or better integration into existing photo applications like Picasa or the Adobe Album. There is a plugin that has been developed for iPhoto, but unfortunately I’m not an Apple user, yet. Speaking of that though, if the rumors of a sub $500 apple computer are true then that may get me onboard. We shall see.
New Camera
We sold the iPod that I got from the Gratis site. Go eBay!! With the money that we got from that sale I purchased a Sony DSC-W1 and we are loving it! The worst part is the small memory card that came with it. I mean 32MB, who would ever only need that! But we are loving the small size and the quality of the pictures. It even takes short movies so we are going to get some of those out there too. Now I need a better way to get them out there quickly so that there are actually useful to people. Is flickr the way to go?
Here’s some samples that we’ve taken so far
and of course a movie
