When I interviewed at the U for Medical Informatics, the interviewer asked me “What’s the most useless program you’ve ever done?”. Well at first I thought he meant school projects, and of course they’re are a lot of those. But he then narrowed it to personal projects. For me, it’s probably the picture section on this Web site.
The main goal has been to share pictures with family. That’s it. But with two adorable twins and a beautiful wife there have been a lot of pictures. I don’t know the exact count, but there are a lot. So in an effort to find a better way to put all these pictures out there in some sort of logical grouping, I started developing a picture album using C#. It’s been fun, I’ve learned a lot about C# that I can apply in other places.
The latest version of the picture album has broken the old version, so no picture will be working. Until I get it all together you can see the latest pictures here. The flash file was a free download called SimpleViewer. Very cool. I will probably be adapting this flash file found on What do I know?(.org)
