Moin Moin.
Well I am again here writing an email. cool. We have had a really good week and
done some good. Last sunday we did some doors, and we found this great kid. 25,
and first thing he said after we taught him was “I will for sure pray about that
tonight” and we hadnt even really talked about that. So we have an appointment
this tuesday and we have a joint teacher dabei. It has been a pretty tough week
with the language. Our mission president has gotten permission from the area
authority, that we can “du” sprache with our companions, and any college age
male, that offers it. It is sortof weird, the du sprache is actually something
you can offer. The Sie, formal speech, keeps a good professional barrier. So
this week we started speaking du, and It is like a whole new language. So we
have been doing that. We had a zone conference, up in Hamburg, and I saw D.
Oswald. I have a picture, and Dan knows how that works, I hope. Well I will tell
you the best news first. We have an investigator, the one we found on my 2nd
day, and she has a baptismal date for the 8th of February!! it is so cool. We
have finished the discussions, and she is way excited for everything. We stopped
by her house, and she had been ready in the book of mormon, and she has the best
questions! So it will be a neat story if she goes through, because it was the
first real person I contacted by myself here. The Lord works in mysterious ways.
Her name is Katrin Thalmann, she is about 32, and the coolest part, she is a
cop! The first time we met, we were making out an appointment, and she said her
work schedule was erratic. We were a little worried.we asked her what she did,
she dropped her head, and said, I rather not say, it is sortof embarrrassing.
Both of our hearts just dropped. We thought maybe she had went the way of the
world, and was a hooker or something. And then she said I am a polizistin.
Sweat! so that is that. She is way smart, and already has a couple friends in
the ward (Joint teaches). And an another funny thing, she is not even in our
ward boundries. She is exactly 240, steps away. E. Waldrip and I have studied
the manuals, and rules, and it just says “she has to TALK to the bishop, not
interview. and nothing else. Our ward needs this baptism, so we hopes it works
out, I am sure it will. As long as she gets baptized by someone, somewhere, I am
ok. We also had a funny t
