We are loving the new show Modern Family on ABC. It’s got some great funny moments, but there are also some true heartfelt moments as well. This clip falls into the former category and hits very close to home here at the Cramers. Enjoy!

Sure the Hall was showing Ads during the recital. Maybe the jokes in between EVERY single performance where super lame. But it was still all kinds of awesome to see our boys get up and show off their hard work these past 5 months.

Baby Shower

Tammy is one of the more creative people I know. She is throwing a baby shower for our sister-in-law and came up with her own really cute take on an invite she found online. From hunting down the fonts, to tying the ribbon she really put together something classy here I think, which fits EB’s style to a T.

Hellfire 14

Thanks to my friend Rich we’ve been going to Hellfire the last 3/4 years. For those who don’t know, Hellfire is the Utah Rocket Club’s biggest launch event of the year. It’s held out on the Salt Flats and it’s a blast! (Get it, blast!?!?)

These guys are serious about their rockets and even get FAA clearance for some huge rocket flights. When I was a kid we would make some model rockets using D class rockets. We thought that was pretty fancy stuff. The rockets we were looking at were H and larger.

Next year maybe we’ll put up some rockets of our own, but it’s always fun to go down and watch some launches. Even just hanging out on the Salt Flats is a crazy experience in its own right.

Lightning in a Bottle

Saturday Tammy was feeling especially adventurous so we took the boys to Kiddie Kandids to attempt a 4 boy photo shoot.

Of course, as soon as you make a decision like that, things will conspire against you to thwart your plans. Tammy ran to the store to get matching shirts and pants for the boys and made it back in time to get everyone dressed. Once we got all the boys dressed up the messes started magically appearing. Owen soaked his shirt while trying to do his hair. Gavin slobbered all down the front of himself. Owen got a bloody nose on the way to the store.

Once we were in place it was time to position the boys. Not an easy task. Owen needed to be in the back so you couldn’t see his bloody shirt. Braeden had to hold Jackson in such a way that he didn’t look like he was dying. Gavin needed to keep his arms down and shirt on. Jackson is a baby, enough said.

All in all the boys did great. We got some great shots that really captured the boys personalities that we are going to love having in the years to come. We also got some great shots of Jackson that will be great to pull out for all Prom Dates. It may take another baby to get us back to the studio, but you can’t argue with the results.

It was fate!

Yesterday the boys were on one for some reason and so they got in trouble and were sent to their room. When I came into the room to talk to them I realized that my boys had decided to become Fatalists.

When I asked them if they knew why they had gotten in trouble they said yes. I sat back, expecting an apology on not listening, or a plea for mercy related to their bad behavior. Instead Braeden said, “It was Fate that caused us to get in trouble.” How do you argue with that?

Dropping Rob at the MTC

Right now Robert is at the MTC, getting ready for three weeks of training before heading to Washington for two years.

We had a great breakfast with the Fam at Magleby’s Fresh before saying our goodbyes right there. They’ve changed the dropoff protocol at the MTC and now only one car is allowed in with the missionary and luggage. That’s right, no long walk down the hall, no Mormon-ad videos reminding how much you’ll miss your family, no separate doorway split. It was a lot easier on the emotions this way, but still a little hard to see my baby brother take off.

Good luck Flobert, you’ll kick some butt.

UPDATED: Just because I know how much Robert loves to correct my kids grammer, I thought I would save his current Facebook status message for posterity. “You going” indeed Flobert. “You going” indeed.
