Moin Moin, Lieber br?der, und schwester.
Everything is rocking and rolling, over here in the great wide d-land. I love it here. We had stake priesthood meeting this friday, and I saw elder Oswald wieder. There was some good speakers, and we learned about service. always something good to know. So in bremen there is 2 wards, and 2 sets of missionaries also. The other missionary just got a brand new missionary. so there is two “goldens” here. So he came on thursday, and then on saturday, both of our campanions, had to go up to hamburg. So what does that mean? two goldens working together with a total of 6 weeks Germany experience under the belt. It was beautiful!! We had quite the adventure. We had a couple appointments already set up, and definately wanted to teach some more. So we started early with an appointment at 10:30 it was a potential investigator, and she speaks fluent English, so it was a good practice for both of us. So that wasn’t too scary. Then we went by on an african investigator. English. Then we went and did some doors on a street we had picked out. Alright, no one speaks english. We did doors for about five minutes, and we got let in by a JW. Jehovahs Witness. The guy was hardcore. He had the wachturm covers pin on the wall, on a collage of pictures from there magazine. He played us some weird music, and we kept trying to go into teaching and he would just say random things. He interrupted me one time to give us some chocolate. He brought it out, and then said, “Where is my hammer?” what? he couldnt find it, and then grabbed a can of soup, and proceeded to smash the chocolate. alright. We kept taking, and he just told us about his church, and how great it was. how he didn’t think he was one from the 144,000. too bad. He kept just trying to argue, and asking me what Gods name was. We finally just left, and I gave him a small card, and invited him to church. Totally well meaning said “I rather jump in the weser than go to the meeting”. So we left, calm as can be. And the best part about it, He came to church!! unglaublich. So it was interesting. Anyway, we left his house and were going to go and do some contacting in the city, and Elder Russell says, “can we do that house?” Why not. We klingle, and walk up the stairs, and the guy immediately lets us in. alright, not bad. We tried to teach him a first as well, and he just kept going back to the scripture, in revelations, about the adding to the book. So he just kept trying to trip us up, but it turned about being a pretty good conversation. As we were leaving, I asked if we could end with a prayer, I told him to choose one, and he said, why dont we all pray? alright. that works too. I said a prayer, elder russell said a prayer, and he said a prayer, ending up with the hands high in the air, singing halleluja!! a little weird, but he got his point across. The day of adventure continued, and we were a little late to an eating appointment, and we wandered around a little bit before we found it. It was actually an inactive so it was good to get in contact with him. so We had a day full of adventures, and we both learned a little german. Well that is pretty much it hope all is good.
